Dr. Waheed Qureshi is the Founder, Chairman and CTO of Zenprise Inc. The company is funded by premier silicon valley venture firms Mayfield Fund, Bay Partners and Shasta Ventures. Prior to Zenprise, Waheed founded Zambeel, a venture funded company that was focused on delivering scalable network attached storage sub-system. Prior to Zambeel, Waheed was at eXcelon Corporation where he focused on ObjectStore, the industry-leading distributed object-oriented database management system. His co-authored publications have appeared in ACM SIGMOD (Special Interest in Management of Data) and VLDB (Very Large Databases). Dr. Qureshi is a member of IEEE (Institute of Electrical Electronic Engineers), ACM (Association of Computing Machinery), Tau Beta Pai (National Engineering Honor Society), Eta Kappa Nu (Electrical Engineering Honor Society) and is the co-author of several US patents (pending). Dr. Qureshi's current technical interests and expertise include storage sub-systems, file & data management and autonomic computing. Waheed holds a Ph.D in computer sciences from USC.
Jayaram Bhat has been the CEO of Zenprise since January 2004. Jayaram has over 23 years of marketing experience in high technology companies. Prior to Zenprise, Jayaram consulted with CEOs of Information Technology companies in developing and managing the execution of breakthrough business strategies as well as helping to raise venture funding. Recent clients include VA Software (Nasdaq: LNUX), Euclid, CenterRun Software, and Tealeaf Technology.
Between 1993 and 2001 Jayaram was the Vice President of Marketing of Mercury Interactive Corporation. As a member of Mercury Interactive's executive team, Jayaram helped lead the company from a pre-IPO stage with $13 million annual revenues to a dominant enterprise infrastructure software powerhouse with $361 million revenues in 2001 and a 60%+ market share with a market capitalization of over $6Billion.
Prior to Mercury Interactive, Jayaram served in various marketing and sales management positions at Cadence Design Systems, EDA Systems, and Daisy Systems. He started his career in 1980 at Intel as the product manager of the Intel 286 processor. He holds a BS in Electrical Engineering and a MS in Operations Research from universities in India and an MBA from the University of Texas at Arlington.
Besides Zenprise, Jayaram serves on the boards of Tealeaf Technology and Electric Cloud.
Janette Chock is the Chief Financial Officer for Zenprise. Janette has over 20 years of financial management experience in the technology industry. Prior to Zenprise, Janette was Vice President and Controller of IGN Entertainment, Inc. and Controller at Fujitsu Personal Systems, Inc., Diffusion, Inc. and Worldtalk Corporation. Janette played a key role in the successful IPO’s of both IGN Entertainment (formerly known as Snowball, Inc.) and Worldtalk Corporation. Janette has also held senior finance positions at Pacific Bell Directory and Deloitte & Touche.
Janette is a member in good standing of the AICPA and holds a B.S. in Business Administration with honors from University of California Berkeley.
Dixie is a seasoned sales executive with over 15 years experience building successful sales organizations. Dixie has been involved from the ground-floor-up in both application and application infrastructure companies. Prior to Zenprise, Dixie was the VP of Sales at FineGround Networks, the market leader in enterprise application delivery, where she was instrumental in acquiring enterprise customers and growing revenue. FineGround was acquired by Cisco Systems in 2005. Prior to FineGround, Dixie established the sales organization at UpShot (acquired by Siebel Systems) and helped to launch the first on-demand CRM service. Prior to UpShot she held both sales and sales management roles at Remedy Corporation (IPO 1995), and Network General (IPO 1990).
Dixie received a Bachelors degree from The Ohio State University and a Masters Degree from the University of Colorado.
Ahmed's experience in the technology industry spans strategic planning, brand marketing, software engineering, and product management. Prior to Zenprise, Ahmed was at EDS where he was a global Director of Product Development. While at EDS, Ahmed built and launched several workflow automation and monitoring automation modules that generated multi-million dollar savings globally. Prior to EDS, Ahmed was on Loudcloud's product management team where he focused on monitoring, storage, and performance networking products. Before that Ahmed was a brand manager at Yahoo! where he co-developed the tv, print, and radio promotions for Yahoo! Shopping. Ahmed started his career as a strategy consultant at Accenture where he created high tech product development strategies for telecos, media conglomerates, and hardware manufacturers.
Ahmed holds an MBA, MA, and BA from Stanford University.
Ilan joined Zenprise in April 2004. Ilan has over 20 years of hands-on engineering experience in various development and executive roles. Prior to Zenprise, Ilan was CEO of Aduva, a developer of enterprise software which controls the time, costs and dramas of managing Linux-based production servers. Before that, Ilan was Founder and CEO of NetReality, which was widely recognized as a top company in the competitive bandwidth management/Quality of Service arena. Ilan was also an Engineering Manager for Bay Networks' (originally SynOptics) Optivity Network Management System, served as director of product management at Bay Networks Israel; and was co-founder and VP Engineering of DoubleDisk, a developer of online disk compression technology that was eventually sold to Microsoft.
Ilan is a member of IEEE and ACM, and holds a BSC in Mathematics and Operation Research from the Tel Aviv University.
